I am sure many of us have eaten ramen before, but what about Wok Hei ramen? Well, I am very fond of Wok Hei dishes such as char kway teow, fried rice and hor fun, so I am pretty curious whether I would like Wok Hei ramen as well?
Therefore, I headed down to Changi Airport Terminal 1 to try out the offerings at WOKE Ramen – the 1st Wok Hei Ramen outlet in Singapore.

What We Tried
Chicken Chashu Collagen Ramen ($13.90)
The 1st dish I tried was the Chicken Chashu Collagen Ramen, served with springy la mian noodles, juicy chicken chashu slices, lava egg, black fungus and tons of spring onions!
The chicken collagen broth is made by brewing pure chicken bones and cartilage for over eight hours. As a result, the broth was rich and loaded with the essence of chicken. In addition, the nice layer of collagen on top is sure to satisfy any collagen soup lover.
Btw, there was certainly the taste and aroma of Wok Hei in this dish, but I personally felt it could be stronger.
Nevertheless, it was good enough that I finished the whole bowl of ramen up in no time!
Seafood Mix Prawn Ramen ($18.90)
This broth is made by boiling fresh sea prawn heads and chicken broth, resulting in a deliciously sweet and savoury prawn broth. I also liked that the Wok Hei taste and aroma was much stronger in this dish. In addition, there was a strong peppery kick with each sip, making it quite addictive!
With a treasure trove of seafood such as prawn paste balls, tiger prawns and scallops inside, seafood lovers should enjoy this. If I could only order 1 bowl of ramen, this is my choice!
Side Dishes
They also offer a range of side dishes such as:
-
Onsen Egg ($2.20)
-
Five Spice Beancurd ($3.50)
-
Golden Beancurd Skin ($3.50)
-
Crispy WOKE Gyoza ($4.50)
-
Chicken Karaage ($4.50)
-
Mentaiko Fries ($4.50)
-
Hot & Spicy Bean Dumplings ($5.50)
-
Onion Oil Ramen ($8.90)
Verdict
Woke Ramen is definitely a great place to enjoy a nice meal of Wok Hei ramen if you are in the area. Food was good, and the environment was comfortable with enough space and seats. If you are thinking whether it is worthwhile to travel down to check out this restaurant for its unique Wok Hei ramen concept, we recommend that you do so, if it is not too inconvenient.
